The Just Transition Fund supports economic development in areas of the U.S.
that were once coal-mining areas.
Its framework for economic development centers on closing the digital divide through broadband projects and facilitating community economic development through creation of jobs.
The fund's Federal Access Center awards grants to assist community organizations secure federal funding for "projects that advance equitable and inclusive local economies"
