Michelle Epling, president of the Madison Chamber of Commerce in Alabama, has been awarded a scholarship from the Institute for Organization Management.
The four-year nonprofit program for leadership training at the Southeast Institute for Organization Management is considered "the gold standard for professional education for chamber professionals," Epling says in a press release.
She recently completed her third year at the program.
"An investment in our chamber's professional development is truly an investment in the City of Madison," Epling says.

Weston Mill-based social enterprise Surplus Rescue CIC (Community Interest Company) recycles and finds homes for unwanted furniture. To date, it has received “extensive amounts” of quality second-hand furniture including desks, pedestals, cupboards and office chairs from a former local authority office equipment – and wants to find them a good home.
