Two giving circles in Texas have teamed up with the Communities Foundation of Texas to raise more money and impact the communities they live in.

The giving circleswhich, as the name suggests, "bring together people with shared values to collectively discuss and decide where to make pooled gifts"are part of a trend of more than 2,500 giving circles around the world, per Philanthropy Together.

In Texas, the two giving circles are Orchid Giving Circle, founded in 2015 to "increase awareness of the local Asian population, community needs, and knowledge about philanthropy," and Village Giving Circle, founded last year by nine black women "to help transform their community by investing collective resources in organizations and initiatives that positively impact the Black community," per a release.

Each giving circle will receive a $25,000 match from the CFT.

"These two growing organizations have a longstanding commitment to investing in our community, and we're grateful to partner with them to double the impact of those who support their efforts," says CFT CEO Wayne White. Read the Entire Article
