Lenawee Youth Council Offers Opportunities to Serve

If you're a teen in Lenawee County, Mich., and you love giving back to your community, you may want to consider becoming a member of the Lenawee YOUTH Council.

The council, a program of the Lenawee Community Foundation, is open to anyone in middle or high school who has a "heart for service, a love for community, and a desire to effect positive change," according to its website.

Teens can volunteer at events like Global Youth Service Day or Martin Luther King Jr.

Day, attend college visits, volunteer with the Clothesline Project, or more.

"Seeing the direct results of their contributions, whether it is in supporting libraries, food pantries, skate parks, or soccer fields, the feeling of pride and accomplishment is so rewarding," the foundation's vice president says. Read the Entire Article
